Here at Faces, we are passionate about our clients feeling beautiful and confident when they leave our studio. Sometimes we just need a little pick me up to feel great again. That’s why were here. Our goal is that women feel so beautiful that they can’t wait to tell their friends to come and see us, too. In fact, because our referral business is so strong, our business doesn’t do any other form of marketing (other than here on our website and Facebook) to get the word out about what we do. Word-of-mouth is single-handedly the main way we are able to build our business.
So, how are you able to establish a great referral program too? Here are a few tips right from the team at Faces:
Tip #1: Offer a Loyalty Program
At Faces, our clients receive points for the services and retail products they purchase. Part of that program includes a referral incentive. If someone refers a client, once that new client comes into the store, the referring client will receive 1000 bonus points as a big “Thank you!”
Tip #2: We Refer Each Other to Each Other!
Let’s say for example that someone is going on maternity leave at Faces. When that happens, our makeup artists or estheticians refer their clients to another one of our talented team members while they are away. This helps the client feel at ease and that they aren’t “cheating” on their artist. This also showcases a high-level trust in each other’s ability to deliver exceptional service. We trust each other because we truly are a family at Face’s.
Tip #3: Watch for Potential Referral Opportunities
Mary, one of our talented makeup artists here at Faces says it best, “When clients tell me that they get compliments on their brows, I always hand them a few of my business cards for the next time someone wonders where they get their brows done.”
Tip #4: Make Education a Priority
Coming to a makeup studio should be fun AND educational. That way, when people get compliments they are able to say, “I learned it at Faces – and you can too!” Nancy, one of our talented estheticians says, “I take the time to educate the client on skin care, instead of just trying to make a new customer. It really is all about the client, and I believe that shows with my services.”
Lastly, make sure to let your clients know how much you value their referral business. As Mary says it, “a little thank you goes a long way!” This is the core of who we are and what we believe in at Faces. Come see us soon!
