GET REAL WITH SKINCARE

Skincare is important.

Whether you wear makeup or not, proper skincare can elevate your look. If you want your makeup to look good on you, you have got to have great skin! No amount of makeup can cover up bad skin.

Celebrities have such fantastic skin because they take care of it. They get facials, do treatments, and consult with professionals who introduce them to the right products.

There are several types of skincare:

  1. Cosmetic – this type of skincare is one you’ll find at Sephora, the department store.
  2. Cosmeceuticals – this is cosmetic skincare with pharmacy-grade ingredients in it.
  3. Medical-grade – This is a little bit more of what I’ll talk about in this blog.

The fact is, the better your skincare, the better your results. And the best skincare program will produce the best results!

Now, you may think that going to a dermatologist will probably give you the best skincare out there. I’m now telling you that isn’t necessarily true.

I personally favor aestheticians over dermatologists.

But what’s an aesthetician?

Aestheticians are skincare specialists who are constantly educating, and getting up-to-date trainings on advanced skincare. It will probably amaze you to know that the skincare industry can be pretty dynamic, so updates on skincare approaches and breakthroughs could come out weekly, even daily. Incredible, huh?

As aestheticians, we can honestly say we change people’s lives.

It doesn’t matter if you’re not inclined to come over and visit. We still want you to realize how important it is to take care of your skin.

Listen!

You can do all the botox, fillers, plastic surgery you want, but if the surface of your skin doesn’t look that great, you’re still not going to look that good.

And neither will your makeup.

At the end of the day, you’re still going to be unhappy with the way you look. So again, skincare is vital.

Let me tell you a secret.

I actually have rosacea, an inflammatory skin disorder. It makes your skin look ruddy, red, and is sometimes characterized by lesions and bumps. It’s not pretty, to be honest.

But I’ve actually been able to control it with our products–without having to follow any kind of diet restriction.

It’s true!

Just following the right skincare has helped me a lot! If you don’t believe me, keep track of my social media account. I left a post of me with no makeup on the other day. If I ever get a flare-up, I’ll post it for you so you can see what I mean. Deal?

Okay, so this bears repeating: Skincare matters.

Remember that.

That said, I hope this blog was helpful to you. If you have any questions, want to know details about any of the products we have, or you just want to chat, I’m more than happy to talk! Just send me a note here!  I hope you all have a happy and blemish-free day!
